ICD Software is a subsidiary of Vard Group. ICD Software AS (formerly Industrial Control Design AS) was established in 2001 based on a vision of creating the future within control system technology towards the maritime and offshore industry. ICD is operating globally with extensive experience in designing great software solutions for the world’s leading on-and offshore companies. 

The company was founded by Stig A. Espeseth, Øyvind Kvålsvoll, Svein E. Linge and Steinar Sætre. Three years later, ICD established an operative sister company; ICD Projects in order to offer a more comprehensive product to clients. 

 

In 2007, ICD Projects was sold to TTS Group and renamed TTS Offshore Handling Equipment (TTS OHE). 

 

In 2011, ICD was restructured and started a extensive growth.

 

In 2014, ICD won the Gazelle prize 2014 as the fastest growing company over 4 consecutive years. A strong team performance!

 

In 2015, Vard Group aquired ICD Software.
